Ischemnia is a condition that is caused when blood flow is kept from a certain part of the body. There are many kinds of ischemnia whereby the different kinds correspond to the different parts of the body targeted. For example cardiac ischemnia is when there is blockage of blood supply to the heart. The blockage of the blood supply often caused by a narrowing of the arteries, if the arteries are narrowed there will be a less amount of oxygen able to reach the heart.
